What is the REEF made of?

Outer cover: 

OEKO-TEX® certified fabric,

100% woven polyester with TPU waterproof backing

Base: 

Durable, water-resistant Oxford polyester fabric

Inner fill: 

High-density polyurethane foam, brushed polyester, velcro

Reinforced cotton seams and handle

Is it safe for my kids?

Yes. The REEF is designed with little adventurers in mind. It features soft edges, durable stitching, and child-safe materials. We recommend adult supervision for very young children and advise against jumping or standing on the chair.

Can I remove the cover?

No — and that’s intentional. We’ve designed the REEF so you don’t need to.

The water-resistant fabric means most spills can simply be wiped clean with mild soap and water, then left to air dry naturally. No removing covers, no machine washing — just easy, everyday clean-ups.

Can it be used indoors and outdoors?

Absolutely. The REEF is made for both. It’s tough enough for beach days and backyard lounging, yet stylish enough to sit beautifully inside your home.

How much weight can it hold?

The REEF is designed for children aged 1–8 years and supports up to 45kg. It’s sturdy enough for everyday play, lounging, and story time.

Care & Maintenance

Setup

1. Cut open Box, avoiding plastic.

2. Carefully cut open plastic vacuum seal with scissors, avoiding  contact with the fabric. *Remove all packaging and dispose of immediately

3. Place the chair in a well-ventilated area for 24–48 hours to allow full expansion.

4. The foam will gradually regain its shape and firmness with use.

 

This chair has been vacuum-sealed for transport. Light creasing may be visible on unpacking. Creases will reduce naturally with use. 

How do I clean it?

Simply wipe clean using a damp cloth with mild soap or detergent only.

Do not use bleach, harsh cleaning agents, or abrasive scrubbing

Can I store my REEF chair outdoors?

No, we recommend storing indoors in a cool, dry space. 

Always ensure the chair is completely dry before storing away

Can I forcibly remove any wrinkles?

 

To assist the fabric to relax faster you can:

  • Gently hand steam from a distance or,
  • Place the chair in a warm, shaded, well-ventilated area. Do not expose to direct sunlight or high heat*

Can I hose it off?

Yes, you can hose off the couch but  DO NOT FULLY IMMERSE!

Leave to dry in shaded, warm, well ventilated area. 

Ensure fabric is fully dry before re-use or storing away.

Shipping, Returns
 & Warranty

Do you ship Australia-wide?

YES, Salt & Roo ships Australia-wide from Perth, Western Australia.

 

All REEF Chairs are picked and packed by our team and shipped via Australia Post.

 

Shipping costs are calculated in real time at checkout based on your delivery postcode and the courier’s live rates. You will see the exact shipping cost before completing your order.

What is your return policy?

We accept change of mind returns provided the following conditions are met:

  • The item must be unused, unopened, and still vacuum-sealed
  • The item must be in its original packaging
  • The return request must be made within 14 days of delivery
  • Once the vacuum seal has been opened, the item cannot be returned 

Return shipping costs for change of mind returns are the responsibility of the customer. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, We offer a 2 year Structural Warranty that covers:

  • Foam collapse (abnormal compression)
  • Stitching failure
  • Zipper failure
  • Fabric delamination (TPU separating)
  • Manufacturing defects

What is NOT Covered:

  • General wear & tear
  • Intentional damage
  • Improper cleaning
  • Cuts / burns
  • Fading from extreme UV exposure
  • Because yours is outdoor-safe, but not meant to live permanently in harsh sun.

How long will my order take?

Dispatch Timeframes

Orders are typically dispatched within 1–3 business days from Perth, Western Australia.

During launch periods, promotions or peak seasons, dispatch times may be slightly longer. 

If there are any forseeable significant delays, we will notify you.

 

Delivery Timeframes (Estimated)

Delivery times vary depending on location:

WA Metro: 2–5 business days

East Coast Metro: 5–10 business days

Regional / Remote areas: 7–14 business days

 

All timeframes are estimates only and may vary due to courier delays, peak periods or events outside our control.

Yes, Salt & Roo is proudly Australian family owned. Our REEF chair was thoughtfully designed, and is shipped from the Coastal shores of Perth Western Australia.
